It turns out that the Rolling Stone feature on Lil Wayne discusses more than his time in jail and how he got snubbed by Dwayne Wade and Lebron James at a recent Miami Heat game. Weezy apparently dished out some information on Tha Carter IV, the long awaited follow-up to June 2008's fantastic Tha Carter III. Apparently he's looking to drop it as soon as he can, as in April or even possibly late March. He also has filled it with mostly new material, though there are a few pre-jail tracks he wants to include.

Now he wants his spot back. He’s prepping Tha Carter IV for an April release, maybe March if the promotional machine can gear up fast enough. He’s been in the studio with T-Pain and Kanye West. He has three or four tracks from before his jail stint that are too good to ignore; otherwise he says, it’s all new.
If this is true and Weezy's still all amped like he was on "6'7'"...then can we please get Tha Carter IV at least some time this year?
