Currently, Lil Wayne is suing Quincy Jones III over Tha Carter, the documentary that was filmed around the release of Weezy's Tha Carter III album. Originally, Lil Wayne was on-board with the film, but he pulled his support after he felt the documentary became too "scandalous" for his liking. Jones still released Tha Carter at Sundance in 2009, and Lil Wayne subsequently sued him for using his songs in the film.
It's a long, convoluted tale, but it's being made more entertaining today. TMZ got their hands on some actual deposition footage from earlier this summer. Lawyer Pete Ross attempts to ask Lil Wayne some questions, but he is not going along with it. He ducks and dodges like a boxer, or maybe like a comedian: Weezy keeps dropping jokes throughout the deposition ("Do I ever hire photographers? Sorry sir, I'm a superstar. People hire them to photograph me."). At one point, he even checks out his fingernails like a bored member of royalty! Lil Wayne, everybody! Admittedly, many of the questions are pretty dumb, and Weezy sniffs them out only to clobber the lawyer repeatedly. Watch the hilarity below.
