Lil Wayne Settles Unpaid Royalties With 'Tha Carter III' Producer
As was the case with Bangladesh and Darius "Deezie" Harrison, David Kirkwood recently filed suit against Young Money Entertainment and Cash Money Records, claiming that he had been robbed of royalties for his contributions to Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III. Per the suit he filed last year at New York Southern District court, Kirkwood -- a songwriter behind standout TC3 bonus cut "Love Me Or Hate Me" -- was looking for as much as $1.5 million from Wayne and co.

Fortunately, TMZ is now reporting that Wayne and Kirkwood have settled the royalties, albeit out of court and for an undisclosed amount. There's a lesson here: Think twice before working with Weezy F. Baby, because you might not know when -- if ever -- you'll be getting your share of the dough.
