After failing Lil' Wayne to appear at his court date in Yuma County, Arizona, for felony drug and weapons charges internet sites were buzzing that Weezy had checked into rehab.
I heard from a number of different sources that Weezy checked himself into a Florida drug rehab over the weekend. Right now no one really seems to be saying much about it. More evidence is coming forward. A perfect example is that the other day he missed a mandatory court appearance in Arizona. His lawyer told the judge that it was because of an “undisclosed medical procedure.” [Celebully]
Back in June of this year, there was the rumor that Wayne had checked into a Boca Raton, Florida, rehab center but that was never confirmed. This story also seems hard to believe considering he recently was seen sporting this anti-rehab t-shirt.
The reason for Wayne's absence from court on Tuesday according to his lawyer? Dentist's orders.
What do you guys think, rehab or dentist's orders or neither?The rapper's attorney, James Tilson, said his client missed the status hearing because he is recovering from several root-canal operations and was ordered by his dentist not to fly, the Yuma Sun reports.
"As a result, the court waived his appearance for that hearing," Tilson said. "He still must appear at future hearings." [MTV]
