Lil Wayne References Frank Ocean's Sexuality In New Rap

Lil Wayne is at it again. The clever wordsmith, whose recent mixtape Dedication 4 made headlines for Nicki Minaj’s purported support for Republican Mitt Romney, is facing a bit of controversy himself.

Rapping a verse on Future’s new single, “Turn On The Lights,” Weezy is making headlines by referencing Frank Ocean’s sexuality.

On the verse, he raps: “Tell her I skate/ I ain't got no worries/ No Frank Ocean, I'm straight.”

Lil Wayne isn’t the first musician to comment on Ocean’s sexuality (Stevie Wonder beat him to that), but his referencing of it in a song is definitely as controversial, if only due to the nature of his delivery. Let’s see if an apology or at minimum, a clarification, occurs some time in the near future.
