Lil Wayne Pleads Guilty, Faces at Least a Year in Prison, Maybe More
Yesterday's early morning rumor about Lil Wayne alleged guilty plea on gun charges carrying at least an eight month sentence turned into yesterday afternoon's fact, but with a minor caveat: Wayne is actually facing at least a year in jail, but the sentence could come with an even longer jail term. Wayne is expected to be sentenced in Feb. 2010, when his jail term's length will be determined. He is also facing a sentence in Arizona for a Jan. 2008 arrest on similar charges to the ones in New York. [Daily Swarm]

Wayne's lawyer, Stacey Richman, said, "I don't believe this was just some random stop," Richman said of the police action that led to Wayne's arrest.
