Lil Wayne Placed In Solitary Confinement

Lil Wayne has been in jail for seven months, but it appears he still hasn’t adjusted to the vagaries of the prison system. A report stemming from TMZ indicates that Wayne has broken prison rules by having an MP3 player and headphones in his cell, which means he will now spend up to 23 hours a day in solitary confinement as punishment.

This means that the hip-hop star is facing a range of restrictions placed upon him: he won’t be able to socialize with other prisoners, can’t watch television, will have to consume all meals in his cell alone, and will be restricted to one phone call per week (aside from calls to his lawyer, according to this report).

Wayne’s segregation from the general prison population will remain in place until he is due for release, which at the present time is thought to be in November. According to that TMZ report, another inmate was helping Wayne out by hiding the MP3 player for him, but it seems unlikely this do-gooder will see his famous friend again.
