Lil Wayne on the cover of Mad, plays a mean air guitar on the CMAs

Here’s your Lil Wayne news round up for the day: pictured to your left is the cover for the latest issue of Mad, which features an obvious Weezy homage. It’s a pretty funny picture, and it’s easily the first time since I was 12 that I have even thought about Mad.

In other Lil Wayne news, Wayne was the “surprise” guest at the CMAs last night, and he revived his performance with Kid Rock at the VMAs of Rock’s “Werewolves in London”-jacking “All Summer Long.” Wayne’s performance at the VMAs was uninspired and goofy, and apparently his performance last night was high on the absurd scale: Wayne held a guitar and acted like he was playing when Rock’s guitarist was actually playing. He apparently only played one note, and then just acted a fool.

But really, going on the CMAs and doing a weird performance is probably only the seventh strangest thing Wayne’s done all week. [Idolator and Pitchfork]
