If you live in New York City, you might have noticed some billboards featuring what appears to be a man with his back turned, arms extended, dreadlocks, and the words DEWeezy plastered in front. As you might have guessed, this is indeed a collaborative advertising campaign between Lil Wayne and Mountain Dew. It also might be the biggest soda-rapper campaign to date.
Sure Kanye West did the whole Pepsi thing, but he's also a lot more controversial to people than Weezy. Also, the New Orleans native is looking to hop on the whole skateboard kids scene with Mountain Dew here.
According to Billboard, this "campaign will include advertisements, public appearances and the creation of a skate park in Lil Wayne's hometown of New Orleans." That last part is kind of great, actually, even if Weezy hasn't proven his skating skills just yet.
