Lil Wayne gonna be a daddy - again

During the BET Hip Hop Awards Saturday night, Lil Wayne announced that he is expecting his first son "any day now." The announcement came while he was accepting the Lyricist of the Year award. It was a distinct moment of heart from Wayne, after he had been interloping all into the acceptance speeches and performances by the likes of DJ Khaled, Common, T-Pain, Busta Rhymes, and Ludacris. In sum, with some of the finest hip-hop names in attendance, it was clearly Wayne's night, as well it should have been. The announcement as he accepted his own award was the icing on the cake.

Though to make a quick note on sexism, imagine the sneers that would ensue if a female rapper was expecting a child in this situation. In any event, the son will join Reginae Carter in the Weezy F. Baby tribe.
