After seeing the kind of low-security prisons that famous people (Martha Stewart, Ivan Boesky, etc.) usually go to, it would be natural to picture Lil Wayne playing croquet and laying down some tracks in the on-campus studio. Apparently, though, the year he's serving is no joke. First, he's at Rikers Island, which no one will reasonably confuse with Club Med, and second, he's been assigned a job on the inside: suicide prevention aide. Spending time with the at-risk prisoners is generally thought to be one of the cushier gigs at the prison due to the lack of manual labor, but Lil Wayne was most likely given the assignment due to his high profile. He is being compensated at the rate of fifty cents per hour for job, so by the time he is released he'll have made roughly the same amount he'll see from Rebirth. [NY Daily News]
