Talk about a homecoming. In an interview with MTV News, Young Money president Mack Maine reveals that Lil Wayne's latest offering in the Carter series is due out the same day that Weezy will be released from prison -- currently scheduled for November 5. According to Mack, he, Baby and Young Money's Cortez Bryant went out to visit Wayne at his current home on Riker's Island to map out Tha Carter IV, and did some more coordination on the phone.
We might not get to hear any songs before the albums drops, though. Weezy seems to be expecting that Tha Carter IV will be locked up as tight as he is, since he doesn't want to release any singles and is hoping it won't be leaked. But don't worry; the I'm Not A Human Being EP is due out Sept. 27
Of course, Tha Carter IV was originally due out in 2009, so I wouldn't hold my breath.
