Lil' Romeo signs to play at USC
Rapper Lil' Romeo will keep his act in Southern California for the next few years. On Monday, Lil' Romeo, born Percy Romeo Miller and offspring of Master P, signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at University of Southern California. Miller, currently a senior guard at Beverly Hills High School has been ranked as a Top 15 point guard prospect by at least one scouting service. During his junior season at Beverly Hills High, Miller averaged 13.9 points per game and nearly six assists. He would mostly likely replace current USC freshman stand-out, O.J. Mayo who signed at USC to enhance his access to entertainment opportunities and is projected to head to the NBA next year. Miller has a slightly different take on the college experience, saying, "Getting a college scholarship is more important than winning an American Music Award, and I plan to be the best student-athlete I can be at USC."
