Rapper Lil’ Romeo will keep his act in Southern California for the next few years. On Monday, Lil’ Romeo, born Percy Romeo Miller and offspring of Master P, signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at University of Southern California. Miller, currently a senior guard at Beverly Hills High School has been ranked as a Top 15 point guard prospect by at least one scouting service.[more:] During his junior season at Beverly Hills High, Miller averaged 13.9 points per game and nearly six assists. He would mostly likely replace current USC freshman stand-out, O.J. Mayo who signed at USC to enhance his access to entertainment opportunities and is projected to head to the NBA next year. Miller has a slightly different take on the college experience, saying, “Getting a college scholarship is more important than winning an American Music Award, and I plan to be the best student-athlete I can be at USC.” [ESPN]
