Lifter Puller Reissues Due in December

Those Lifter Puller (Craig Finn and Tad Kubler's pre-Hold Steady Minneapolis outfit that broke up in 2000) reissues rumored way back in the just post-inauguration days of January 2009 have just gotten a firm release date: The Orchard has announced plans to reissue the band's three studio albums and one EP (Lifter Puller, Half Dead and Dynamite, The Entertainment and Arts EP and Fiestas and Fiascos) and a rarities comp called Slips Backwards on Dec. 1. The studio material has long been out of print, so it marks the first time that any Lifter Puller music will be available digitally. Finn, along with writer Jessica Hopper, will also be putting out a Lifter Puller-themed book called Lifter Puller Vs. the End Of, which will feature a bevy of interviews and the like. [Pitchfork]
