Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye Release First Song 'Bring The Light'

Yesterday we offered a teaser of Liam Gallagher’s new band Beady Eye, which he formed with most of the members of Oasis sans brother Noel after the band’s split. Now comes the first full-length track from the group, titled “Bring the Light,” which sounds…exactly as you’d expect it to sound. Liam’s vocals dominate the mix, and the influences (Beatles, Kinks, etc.) are so predictable and delivered in such a ham-fisted way that it’s painful to listen to. If you’ve missed Gallagher singing banalities like “baby c’mon” and "you bring the love, sextacy" (at least I think that's what he's singing) then this is the song for you. Surely Andy Bell must be eyeing a lucrative reunion payday with Ride sometime soon?

This track is awesome! Much different than I expected but it's fun and unlike anything else out there right now. Actually put a smile on my face the first time I listened to it. :)
