It’s been a busy week for Oasis news. First, Russell Brand and Noel Gallagher made a prank call to Barack Obama on a radio show the pair were co-hosting. Then, relations between Noel and his brother Liam became predictably frosty, with the older Gallagher brother claiming “[Liam] will fucking freak out” when he hears his forthcoming solo album.

Noel memorably summed up Liam’s abrasive personality by saying “he’s like a man with a fork in a world of soup.” But Liam has hit back at these claims by using his Twitter feed, in which he lambastes Noel’s recent activities.

“Is it that time of the month again rkid?” he asks, presumably in response to Noel’s fork/soup comments. He also likens Brand and Noel’s radio performance to “a pair of old housewife's.” Continuing his tirade, Liam also tweets about Noel’s revelation that two songs featuring choirs were left off recent Oasis album Dig Out Your Soul: “A fifty piece choir on it...more like fifty shit guitar solo's on it.”

The rest of Liam’s Twitter feed mostly concerns his recently launched line of men’s designer clothing at Pretty Green, although there are many other amusing asides. “In the pool,” Liam tweets. “A kid’s just jumped on me head, had to have a word.”
