Flight of the Conchords might have folks thinking that any music that percolates up from New Zealand is a joke, but Liam Finn is working hard to prove that's not true. At the young age of twenty-three, Finn is already a multitalented musician. All of those talents are on display on Finn's first album, I'll Be Lightning, which gets a U.S. release next week (January 22) on Yep Roc. Late next month, Finn will hit U.S. shores for a tour. He'll play some shows with Pela before ending up in Austin for South by Southwest.
