Even though the Chinese might be earning more gold medals than the United States, don’t think for a minute they’ve stopped taking their cultural cues from the good old U.S. of A. Now that rock dinosaurs have become de rigueur at the Super Bowl, China has seen fit to add Jimmy Page to the Olympic closing ceremonies, where he’ll team with Leona Lewis on “Whole Lotta Love.” There was no mention if the Chinese plan to replace Page with a better looking guitar player that more exemplifies the Olympic spirit.
