Leila Announces New Album, 'U&I,' For January Release
U.K. producer Leila has issued three albums to date that she said have formed a trilogy of sorts. Her most recent effort, 2008's Blood, Looms & Blooms, closed out that trio of records. And since then she's been looking for new ways to expand her production style, which to date has leaned toward IDM and experimental pop.
According to a press release, Leila's forthcoming new album, U&I, is a more direct affair. It also apparently features numerous contributions from Mt. Sims, a fellow DJ/producer who will lend his vocals to the 13-track album. You might recognize his work from his 2010 album with the Knife and Planningtorock, Tomorrow, In A Year. You can view the U&I track listing below. The album drops Jan. 23 on Warp Records.
