Legal downloads of Beatles catalog through Norwegian not exactly legal

It turns out that free archive of every Beatles song wasn't exactly as "legal" as the NRK (Norway's BBC) had previously thought-- they've taken down the archives after they realized that the new publishing agreement for podcasts they have only pertains to shows in the last four weeks. Since The Beatles programs-- where a DJ talked about each Beatles song, and then played it-- were recorded in 2007, they had to be taken down.

So for now, we'll have to keep holding our breaths for The Beatles and iTunes to make a deal.* [Boing Boing]
