Lee Ranaldo turns spam into poetry

Taking the basic tenets of conservation''reduce, reuse, recycle''to heart, Lee Ranaldo found an excellent use for e-mail spam. His latest book of poetry, Hello from the American Desert, forty-page collection of poems written between 2004 and 2007 and inspired entirely from e-mail spam. One thousand copies will be available in limited-edition chapbook.
Hello from the American Desert features artwork by Curt Kirkwood of the Meat Puppets and is being put out by Chicago'''s Silver Wonder Press. It'''s true; ''"Ode to test and keep a high-definition TV''" does have a certain ring to it. Wonder how he captured phishing in verse? [Pitchfork]
