I certainly put a lot of posts up on here about artists going out on tour, but it's not often that I get to do so for a true living legend. Yes, pioneering Jamaican music hero Lee "Scratch" Perry has announced a short run of live gigs along America's eastern seaboard. Hopefully by then the area will be sufficiently dug out from under the wicked Nor'easter it just got. Perry will be backed by New York band Dub is a Weapon. Still going strong at 70, West Coast shows are expected to follow in July and beyond.Follow on after the jump for where to catch the Mighty Upsetter...

This dude is so far in his own world, it's ridiculous. When I interviewed him (its in the archives of this site!), he kept stopping in the middle of a sentence and saying "Would you like to know how I dance?" - I'd ask tell him sure and then he'd go off on something else.
