Though rumors of a tour are still a bit premature, Cult lead singer Ian Astbury recently told an audience in Cincinnati that the band would be visiting again next year. He went on to say that his band "would be opening for a band that starts with an L and has a Z in it." This article predicts a full Led Zeppelin tour, but no formal announcement has yet been made.
Though it's easy to assume that the Cult will be opening for Led Zeppelin, there's really no way to say for sure. They could be, for instance, opening for The Lizards or maybe even The Lozenges of Arabia. There are lots of possibilities out there. Let's not all start growing our hair out and getting our pirate shirts out of mothballs just yet.
