Led Zeppelin to release a single, finally?

There has been rampant speculation about the planned upcoming remix of "Immigrant Song" by recently reunited Led Zeppelin, and how Pendulum would handle it. Since there's been no talk of other songs being remixed, the possibility remains open that Led Zeppelin, long resistant to releasing single, may be releasing there first one after all these years. The band built its reputation on the completeless of its LPs in the late '60s and early '70s, so it would be fitting for the iTunes generation to turn even the most album-oriented band more single-focused. It just seems odd that they'd even want to do this. I understand reunion shows, but a new single?

Best band ever, but what's the point of a single release now? If you want to dig into Zeppelin, go get LZ-I and start there.

I'm not sure where you got the idea that Led Zeppelin never released singles. They released a bunch of them in the 70s. Some of their most popular songs were album-only tracks, and most of the b-sides were also found on the LPs, but there were definitely 45s.
