James Murphy isn’t above lending his music out to commercial enterprises, as he has proven in the past. Here, he gives up LCD Soundsystem’s “Yeah” from the band’s 2005 debut album to Microsoft, for use in its commercial for the Xbox 360’s Wii-like Kinect device. According to this article, the company spent a cool $30,000 building the first Kinect prototype, and with that kind of money to burn, it’s safe to say Murphy got a handsome sum for his efforts as well.
