LCD Soundsystem Name New Album 'This Is Happening'
You may have heard that LCD Soundsystem are releasing an album. You may have even heard the awesome single from said album. What you may not know, however, is that the album will be called This Is Happening according to this post on the DFA website. Given that this will be James Murphy's last LCD Soundsystem record, the title potentially appears to be both a statement about living in the present and a nod towards acknowledging the end. Will this be the definitive LCD Soundsystem recording?
The album will be out May 18 in the US on DFA/Virgin, and May 17 in the UK on DFA/Parlophone. Album cover above.

How do you figure that it is "a nod towards acknowledging the end?"
the album cover is pretty 80s. i guess i consider it potentially a nod towards the end as "this is happening" is something you might say to some one that couldn't acknowledge, for whatever reason, an event of some sort.
someone explain to me what is so awesome about "Drunk Girls" because I just find the song obnoxious. I like the album cover though!

Yeah, "Drunk Girls" is no good. Not digging the album art either. Or the title, for that matter. Maybe the rest of the album will change my mind.
