Lawsuit May Push Back The Game's New Album

After spending a week disproving claims of his death, The Game is faced with a lawsuit that may push back the release of his upcoming fourth LP, The R.E.D. Album. No, it’s not for beating someone up this time. Rather, a company called Desperado Entertainment that claims to have discovered the LA-based rapper and helped him rise to fame is suing Aftermath Records, Interscope, Universal Music Group and Dr. Dre's company ARY, Inc under the pretext that it has been deprived of royalties from The Game’s success. The entertainment company insists its rights of approval have been violated by being cut out of the development process during the recording and promotion of the new album. So far, there has been no comment from The Game or any of the accused companies.

As of right now, The R.E.D. Album is scheduled to be released on August 24th via Aftermath/Star Trak/Interscope. [Hollywood Reporter via Real Talk NY]
