Back in 2001, Toronto's new wave indie darlings Metric completed recording what would have been their first album, titled Grow Up and Blow Away. Unfortunately the album was lost in the shuffle when Ryko acquired Restless Records, the intended home label. After six years, two well-received Metric albums and a solo project from frontwoman Emily Haines, Metric's debut was finally picked up by Last Gang Records, and is slated for a June 26th domestic release.
