It really isn't just hyperbole meant to rationalize the function of this ongoing series of updates when we say there are so many big festivals in the U.S. now, it's hard to keep track of all of them. For example, did you know there's an eclectic, multi-day shindig that goes down in the swamps of South Florida? It's called Langerado, and 2008 will be the fest's sixth year in operation. Langerado 2008 will be held at the Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation March 6-9. Follow on after the jump to find out what bands will be there...Scheduled to play Langerado 2008 are acts including Beastie Boys, R.E.M., the National, !!!, Of Montreal, the Roots, Minus the Bear, Ben Folds, Ani DiFranco, Built to Spill, Thievery Corporation, and Ghostland Observatory. Similar to Bonnaroo, Langerado also features a heavy jam band contingent including Phil Lesh and Friends, G. Love and Special Sauce, Les Claypool, Umphrey's McGee, Gov't Mule, the Disco Biscuits, the Wailers, and Medeski Martin Scofield & Wood.
