The indie rock package tour really is the way to go in these hardened times. Bands sharing a stage on upcoming tours include the Horrors and the Kills, Vivian Girls and Ariel Pink, and Crystal Stilts and Women. Expect a lot more of these package deals as the recession bites hard. The latest twosome to team up are The Faint and Ladytron, who will be co-headlining a North American tour in April and May.

The two bands will switch headlining duties each night, which has led to a few two-night stands in certain cities. To support the tour, Ladytron is issuing a remix EP that features six reworkings of the song “Tomorrow” from the Velocifero album. The band has also been in the studio with Christina Aguilera, which is a potentially fascinating meeting of musical minds.
