Lady Gaga The First Artist To Get One Billion Video Views

If there was any more proof needed of Lady Gaga’s ubiquity, it’s just arrived in the shape of some astonishing figures related to online views of her music videos. Visible Measures has made an announcement via Mashable that Gaga is the first musician to reach the one billion views mark, mostly via YouTube.

Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund, who also shot the controversial promo for the Prodigy’s “Smack My Bitch Up,” is partly responsible for this surge of interest, as he shot the clips for both “Paparazzi” and “Telephone.” But leading the pack of videos is “Poker Face,” which has racked up close to 380 million views at the time of writing, and surely doesn’t need to be seen ever again at this point. Does it? Oh go on then…
