Lady Gaga Sued Over Her Own Charity

The serious attorneys over at 1-800-LAW-FIRM have launched a pretty crazy lawsuit: They’re suing Lady Gaga for $5 million over her own charity for Japan earthquake relief, claiming that the singer scammed money from people donating to the charity by over-charging for shipping on the Japan relief bracelets she sent out for $5. The bracelets came with $3.99 for shipping, and $.60 for taxes, which the law firm is claiming Gaga pocketed as cool profit. The law firm is also claiming that Gaga’s charity isn’t releasing total donation amounts, which they say leads to charges of fraud. Whether or not this is a publicity grab by a law firm, I’m not sure, but it sort of seems like they have a point. [Radar]
