It looks like Lady Gaga may have run into some problems with one of her corporate sponsors. The singer is readying Born This Way for release next month and was planning an exclusive deluxe edition, which was set to be sold through Target. “Part of my deal with Target is that they have to start affiliating themselves with LGBT charity groups and begin to reform and make amends for the mistakes they’ve made in the past,” Gaga said. But now Vulture [via The Advocate] is reporting that those ties have been severed. “She and Target didn’t see eye to eye on Target’s policy of political donations and how they affect the LGBT community,” said an unnamed source. This is unlikely to affect sales of Born This Way, but it’s an interesting litmus test to see how on-board corporate giants are with Gaga’s stance on the LGBT community.
