Lady Gaga knows how to make some shrewd PR moves. She gave away a pair of 3-D glasses with copies of the Fame Monster when it was released, although there was no apparent use for them—a cryptic message simply said they would be useful for “things happening soon.”
Now, her label, Interscope, has revealed that a 3-D concert and DVD look set to be the next step for Gaga, although no word on how or when this would happen has been made available. Kraftwerk have already experimented with 3-D visual projections at some of their shows, requiring their fans to wear glasses, and presumably Gaga’s people are planning something similar.
In the meantime, the sure-to-be-spectacular video for “Telephone” will be revealed on Thursday (March 11) on the E! channel. "What I like about it is it's a real true pop event," she said. "And when I was younger, I was always excited when there was a big giant event happening in pop music and that's what I wanted this to be."
