Newly appointed American Idol judge Ellen DeGeneres has just been hit with a lawsuit. A group of labels (including Atlantic, Capitol, Motown, Sony and Warner Brothers) accused the TV personality of playing over 1,000 songs on The Ellen DeGeneres Show without permission. The suit was filed Wednesday in Nashville, but representatives for the talk show said they have been working with the record imprints for months to resolve the issue.
