Central California wussies unite! Jason Lytle found suitable claim and relative fame as the man behind Modesto's Grandaddy, only to break up the band before last year's Just Like the Fambly Cat. Aaron Espinoza named Earlimart after a town south of Modesto and Fresno and matching in their''¦ let's call it charm. Grandaddy and Earlimart share a soft-spoken, dull radiance and can-do indie pop aesthetic that complement each other nicely, so it's certainly noteworthy to see Lytle and Espinoza sharing a stage. After years of helping on each other'''s projects, a true collaboration has serious buzz potential, which may very well originate in Silver Lake. (ML)
