New Kylie Minogue video will pull a Pokemon on you

After the rash of seizures caused by those lovable demons from Japan, Britain’s Channel 4 has refused to air Kylie Minogue’s new video, citing concerns over the clip’s excessive use of strobe lighting. The video, for Ms. Minogue’s new single “Wow,” features the bedazzled pop singer emoting in an attractive fashion amongst many, many strobe lights. The overuse of the effect could cause seizures in many unsuspecting viewers, a phenomenon that became highly publicized after audiences collapsed during airings of the Pokemon cartoon. A recut of the video is currently being produced, but there is no information yet when it will be released. Ms. Minogue’s album X, from which “Wow” is a single, will be released on the eighteenth of February. [Gigwise]
