It’s already apparent that Kurt Vile’s Smoke Ring for My Halo is likely to figure heavily in the end-of-year best-of lists for 2011, and this clip offers us a chance to find out what music inspired him during the making of that record. Vile stopped by Amoeba Records to contribute to their long-running “What’s in my Bag?” series, where he talked about E-Street Band member Nils Lofgren, folky singer Anne Briggs, and Ween’s The Mollusk (among others).
