Kurt Vile Announces Tour, In-Store Performances

In anticipation of his upcoming sophomore LP for Matador, Kurt Vile is taking to the streets. And by streets, we mean record stores on the East Coast and clubs around the country. The Philadelphia lo-fi rocker will do a week’s worth of solo in-store sessions (including at least one guest appearance by Thurston Moore  and Bill Nace as Northampton Wools) and then head out with his backing band, the Violators. For much of the tour Vile and crew will be opening for J Mascis, which will provide a double dose of shambling guitar music.
