Legendary electronic musicians Kraftwerk will be taking up residency at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. The German avant-garde pioneers will occupy the MoMA for eight consecutive nights, from April 10 through 17, with each night featuring a full-album performance. Dubbed Kraftwek-Retrospective 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8, the series will draw on music created over four decades, from the group's 1974 LP, Autobahn, to 2003's Tour de France.
The albums will be performed chronologically and accompanied by Kraftwerk originals adapted specifically for the exhibit. In addition, a showcase documenting the innovative audio and visual material the group has employed over its career will be on view at the MoMA's PS1 Performance Dome. Tickets are $25 and go on sale Feb. 22. Below, you can see the nightly schedule.
