Korn’s kraptastic Unplugged

MTV brought back Unplugged for this? Nineties nu-metal gods (to geeky teens everywhere, at least) Korn, apparently still alive and breathing, shot an Unplugged episode December 9 in New York City. Joining them on stage were Evanescence’s Amy Lee, who sang backup on “Freak on a Leash,” and the Cure’s Robert Smith, who helped Jonathan Davis, Fieldy, Head and the rest of the Korn Krew cover “In Between Days.” An even more horrifying kover: Korn put in a take on Radiohead’s “Creep.” Sure they’re kreepy, but that doesn’t exactly qualify Korn to handle a much better band’s material. The episode will debut online on February 10 and then on that old fashioned thing you might have heard of called a television on February 17.
