Konami introduces Rock Revolution (Video Trailer)

Looks like the Guitar Hero and Rock Band franchises will face some additional competition this fall. Last night Konami announced it would be releasing Rock Revolution for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and Nintendo DS.

The game's drum controller will have six pads and a kick pedal, which seems to be a bit excessive. Interestingly, Konami released a rock simulation game Guitar Freaks almost ten years ago. Some gamers feel that Guitar Heroes had copied Guitar Freaks.

40 songs will be in the game. Some songs that were in the preview version of the game were:

Twisted Sister "We're Not Gonna Take It"

Motley Crue "Dr. Feelgood"

Quiet Riot "Cum On Feel the Noize"

Avril Lavigne "Sk8er Boi"

The Ramones "Blitzkrieg Bop"

Jet's "Are You Gonna Be My Girl"

I admit that I've only played Guitar Heroes a few times. Is there a difference between these games?
