Kiss, Motley Crue Give $100,000 To Aurora Victims

In a supremely nice gesture far removed from their rock star posturing, the members of KISS and Motley Crue stated that they would band together and donate $100,000 to the Aurora Victim Relief Fund, which was set up in the wake of the devastating theater shooting in Aurora, Colorado a few weeks back.

The two bands are currently touring together, and they made the announcement at their Englewood (suburb of Denver) show Wednesday night. Per a written statement from Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue and Paul Stanley of Kiss:

“Following the heartbreaking news of the senseless shootings in Colorado we wanted to do something to help the families and victims. We bonded together with our tour partners and friends KISS to donate money, but we also hope it inspires others to do the same, no matter how big or small.”
