The Kings of Leon may be bigger in England, and sing about nasty STD’s, but the band never forget what sells records: covers with birds on them. The band’s new album, Only By the Night, has two different covers, one for the U.S. and one for the U.K. MTV’s assertion from last week seems correct: in the U.K. they can be on the album cover and it will sell, in the U.S., it’s better not to have them anywhere near the cover.
Only By the Night is due out on September 23 via RCA. [Stereogum]
