King of the Beats Accepting Submissions

Aspiring producers around the US: King of the Beats wants you! Well, they want you to get off your ass and try out anyway. For those who dont know, Dante Rosswhos discovered and subsequently made names out of everyone from Busta Rhymes to De La Soulrecently helped come up with the idea of King of the Beats, a high-profile beat battle, to find the best producer out there.

Three regional competitions will take place this fall, in Los Angeles (Sept. 19), Atlanta (Oct. 3), and New York City (Oct. 16) from which three finalists, and one wild card will win $1000, as well as a round-trip flight and hotel accommodations to stay in NYC for the finale, November 4 in NYC. The winner of the finals gets a $5000 prize package, as well as a less tangible prize; the right to call themselves the King of the Beats.  The  showcases wont just have undiscovered talent on stage though, as Rhazel of The Roots is set to host, and Raewkon will be performing at each of the events.

Interested? Well get busy then. Submissions are currently being accepted, and will continue to be until July 30. Guidelines for submissions, and a whole lot more, can be found at the King of Beats website.
