Killers talk B-sides album, Santa Claus

Las Vegas hometown boys The Killers are prepping a B-side compilation as the group's next release. Says frontman Brandon Flowers: "We have about fifteen of these songs that people have never heard, and we wanted to stick them on something for people to get to have them all together." Maybe he's still under the impression that The Killers are still some kind of hard-to-find indie band, but even I have heard most of these so-called rarities, which include "All the Pretty Faces," the Joy Division cover "Shadowplay," "Move Away," and the Mel Tillis cover "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town." The Killers also plan to release another Christmas single on December 1 entitled "Don't Shoot Me Santa" for Bono's Red Campaign. Last year the band raised $100,000 from their Red Campaign contribution "A Great Big Sled." Say what you will about the Killers, but bringing back the tradition of rockin' X-mas songs is totally cool with me.
