(MTV Overdrive)
Unfortunately MTV hasn't caught on to the whole YouTube model of video sharing, but yes, The Killers made another ridiculous music video. And yes, Brandon Flowers still thinks he's The Boss. Still, if there was ever a situation where a poor attempt at ironic humor became ironically funny itself, this would be it. Shamelessly trying to rip off what Sofia Coppola did so well in Lost In Translation, The Killers invade Japan and give the people a healthy dose of blue collar, everyman Americanism...I think.
A few things worth noting...
*Brandon Flowers looking over the Tokyo cityscape as though he's just had a life changing moment.
*Brandon Flowers walking through the streets of Tokyo dressed as if he's ready to engage in a saloon fight with Deadwood's Al Swearengen.
*Brandon Flowers (did you think Prefix would dedicate a post on The Killers to talk about anything else?) trading moves with a Japanese Elvis impersonator. I couldn't tell if they were dance moves or a form of martial arts.
* One of the (OK, fine, we'll talk about someone else) "other" members of The Killers sharing an intimate moment with a Bubble Bobble-esque furry in a japanese capsule hotel.
