In an interview on BBC Radio 1--coincidentally, on the same radio show that announced the return of Bloc Party-- Killers frontman Brandon Flowers promised that the band will be putting out their fourth album this year. Apparently, it's so ironclad, that Flowers says it's down to picking release dates:
"It's just whether it's the summertime or the wintertime," Flowers said of the release date for the Las Vegas band's yet-to-be-titled fourth album.
The Killers haven't issued an album since 2008's Day & Age, and they haven't spent much time together since--they've been on hiatus more or less since early 2010. But they reconvened recently to record a new album, and are now saying things like this:
"I think the consensus within the band is to take those things that we've done well and really hone in on that," Flowers said. "We don't want to make Hot Fuss 2 or Sam's Town 2, or Day & Age 2. We'll maybe take all that stuff, the best of all of it and do what we know how to do."
