Kid Rock Beer to Create Four Hundred Jobs in Michigan

Whatever your opinion of Kid Rock's hip-hop cribbing, Skynyrd desecrating, redneck inciting take on music, there's no arguing with the fact that when the country is in need, the fur coated one is more than willing to answer the call. In addition to the concerts he's been playing for U.S. troops (which don't even count for community service), Kid Rock is now responsible for four hundred jobs in his home state. The Michigan Brewing Company plans to invest seven million dollars and create a craft beer bearing Kid Rock's name and add the new employees for the undertaking. The style and pricing of the beer is still in the planning stages, but Bobby Mason, the owner and brewer of Michigan Brewing, said that Rock is taking an active role in creating the product. The first beer will hit shelves in the spring, and  Mason didn't rule out expanding the line with other products if the initial release meets with success. [Detroit Free Press]
