A week ago, a trailer supposedly from Transformers II: Secret of the Ooze featuring Kid Cudi's "Sky Might Fall" hit the Internet. It turns out that the preview wasn't an official version--Cudi himself put the song in the preview because it lined up well, and as a way to promote himself. In this video interview for MTV, Cudi says he thought immediately that the song should be in a movie, and then he heard the song while watching the trailer and made his own version. Then he showed it off to Hype Williams and producer Kanye West, who both told him to put it out immediately. He also says that he is reaching out to Michael Bay to try to get his preview sanctioned as an official version. [NahRight]
